Indya Childs hails from Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Kennesaw State University with a B.A. in Dance, she had the privilege of working with Ballethnic Dance Company, T. Lang Dance, Kit Modus, and Scrap Performance Group. In 2015, Indya was featured in Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch. In 2018, Indya performed a new solo work choreographed by Sidra Bell for the Women in Dance Conference in NYC. In 2019, she completed a year of training at the Hubbard Street Professional Program (HSPRO) under the direction of Alexandra Wells. The same year, Indya was awarded a full merit scholarship from the Cultural Service of the Consulate of France and the Goethe-Institut in Chicago to attend the Camping dance festival in Paris, France. Indya currently dances with Abby Z and the New Utility in New York.
